However, whenever I do one, I always feel some guilt that I am wasting my time. I know I have a lot of other chores and errands to do, but I just can't keep away from the puzzle I'm working on. My husband teases me that he'll see me again in a couple days when I'm done with my puzzle. That is a fairly accurate assessment of my obsession. When I start a puzzle, I can't stop working on it until it is done.<br /><br />Anyway, my neighbor told me that working on jigsaw puzzles is really good for your brain and helps prevent Alzheimer's disease. So, maybe I shouldn't feel so guilty about it...<br /><br />So, what do you think? Am I spending hours doing something completely useless? Or am I making a long-term investment in my brain?Cranky Mamahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09722197697154563941noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1062866784697128045.post-45524926151533479462008-01-28T09:58:00.000-08:002008-11-13T01:06:31.884-08:00Wanna trade puzzles?<span style=";font-family:";font-size:85%;" >Hi! I am somewhat of a puzzle addict, but I only like to do puzzles once. So, I would like to use this blog as a forum for like-minded people to trade puzzles! Here is a picture and brief description of my Thomas Kinkaid puzzle:<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyEToAtfa5-RweFPDYUz97sZeOp-6zO18B18pPx1TNKdit1r8Y5bYx_Fzk4xzYvj9_y0xIC-A5RJzh0GkFLffrD7wu9VM_I4XBQxTtU_ITQoKYu_UcnTuDn2QdyzcYeQvDowgbmtg4-FvO/s1600-h/CIMG2146.JPG"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><!--[if gte vml 1]><v:shapetype id="_x0000_t75" coordsize="21600,21600" spt="75" preferrelative="t" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" filled="f" stroked="f"> <v:stroke joinstyle="miter"> <v:formulas> <v:f eqn="if lineDrawn pixelLineWidth 0"> <v:f eqn="sum @0 1 0"> <v:f eqn="sum 0 0 @1"> <v:f eqn="prod @2 1 2"> <v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelWidth"> <v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelHeight"> <v:f eqn="sum @0 0 1"> <v:f eqn="prod @6 1 2"> <v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelWidth"> <v:f eqn="sum @8 21600 0"> <v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelHeight"> <v:f eqn="sum @10 21600 0"> </v:formulas> <v:path extrusionok="f" gradientshapeok="t" connecttype="rect"> <o:lock ext="edit" aspectratio="t"> </v:shapetype><v:shape id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5160566024779931538" spid="_x0000_i1025" type="#_x0000_t75" alt="" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyEToAtfa5-RweFPDYUz97sZeOp-6zO18B18pPx1TNKdit1r8Y5bYx_Fzk4xzYvj9_y0xIC-A5RJzh0GkFLffrD7wu9VM_I4XBQxTtU_ITQoKYu_UcnTuDn2QdyzcYeQvDowgbmtg4-FvO/s1600-h/CIMG2146.JPG" style="'width:240pt;height:180pt'" button="t"> <v:imagedata src="file:///C:/DOCUME~1/VALUED~1/LOCALS~1/Temp/msoclip1/01/clip_image001.jpg" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyEToAtfa5-RweFPDYUz97sZeOp-6zO18B18pPx1TNKdit1r8Y5bYx_Fzk4xzYvj9_y0xIC-A5RJzh0GkFLffrD7wu9VM_I4XBQxTtU_ITQoKYu_UcnTuDn2QdyzcYeQvDowgbmtg4-FvO/s320/CIMG2146.JPG"> </v:shape><![endif]--><!--[if !vml]--><!--[endif]--></span></a></span><span style="font-size:100%;"><a style="font-weight: bold;" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_IOVUEEHt9oyGXZEtE8cl0ADNoTk382Dx6Qx1kmZC7Fv_AKiHkJbiKKSnT-l_K7FoBRC-NFZh0lxAkOPsRNIlGoZ_BRH0bVGaILTSpFWGMELlwQhWW0TVHZngK131WX_VVCqpujXKfzw/s1600-h/CIMG2146.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_IOVUEEHt9oyGXZEtE8cl0ADNoTk382Dx6Qx1kmZC7Fv_AKiHkJbiKKSnT-l_K7FoBRC-NFZh0lxAkOPsRNIlGoZ_BRH0bVGaILTSpFWGMELlwQhWW0TVHZngK131WX_VVCqpujXKfzw/s320/CIMG2146.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5160588773442196034" border="0" /></a></span><br /><span style=";font-family:";font-size:85%;" ><br />My Mom gave me this puzzle for XMAS. It is called "The Night Before Christmas", and it has 1,000 pieces. It took me a little longer than normal to put together, because a lot of the colors are somewhat similar (grayish). However, I enjoy a challenge, so it was no big deal! :)<br /><br />If you have a 1,000 piece puzzle that you would like to trade for this puzzle, then let me know! A couple of things to keep in mind:<br /><br />(1) Your puzzle must have ALL the pieces.<br />(2) After we agree to trade, both of us should ship the puzzle within 3 days.<br />(3) The puzzle should be packaged adequately, so it doesn't get smushed.<br />(4) After we trade, you can keep the puzzle or trade with someone else.<br /><br />Sound fun? Send me a picture of your puzzle, and maybe we can trade!</span>Cranky Mamahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09722197697154563941noreply@blogger.com0
